Winter Birthday Card for Daddy - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you have all been having a good break and enjoyed your festivities over Christmas.  December and January seem to be 2 months that I have a lot of birthdays to craft for.  Today, I'm sharing a card I made for the boys to give to their Daddy.

I used the It's Your day die set  which I bought some time ago but never got around to using - I'm sure I am not alone in this!  Having used it I can see me using it often as it's a great size and cuts out both Daddy and Dad too!!!

The images were stamped and coloured in using my Chameleon pens and pencils.  Both the fox and rabbit were cut out.  I die cut a scalloped circle to frame the image and stuck the die cut It's Your Day underneath.  I added a speech bubble with Happy Birthday on and a little glitter on the snow to finish.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for following my blog and all your wonderful comments throughout the year.  I really do appreciate them.

I hope you enjoy your new celebrations and see you again next week!

Have A Treemendous Christmas! - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

I've spent a lot of time cleaning the house and then playing board games with the boys to relax!  It's been lovely and we've managed to watch some films together as well.

Only 2 more sleeps to Christmas and I thought I'd share a fun festive card.

I used the very versatile Christmas Surprises stamp and die set and coloured the images using my Chameleon pens.  I paper pieced the tree, using Nuvo drops for the baubles.

The background was created using a stencil with distress oxide inks blended through them creating a brick wall.  In my head I had the Christmas tree outside with the bunny trying to fix the lights and the other critter peeking out of the house holding the sign.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

See you next week,

Cactus CAS Christmas Cards - Sticker Kitten DT

Happy Monday!

I'm sharing a selection of CAS cards I made with the Sticker Kitten Succulent collection.  I had a lot of fun creating these and the puns that went along with them.

All the cards are in a clean and simple style.  I just added a little paper, stenciling or washi tape.

I added a little glitter glue to some of the succulents for a little festive sparkle!

On all the cards I used computer generated sentiments in different colours.

The additional santa hats on all my succulents were from the Time for Tea Designs Mew Are The Best stamp set.  I simply stamped, coloured them in with my Chameleon pens and fussy cut them out before sticking on to the Succulent Ephemera.

See you again on Wednesday,

Tags, Toppers & Labels - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

Last day at school for both of the boys and I am relieved.  I have a lot of work still to complete with pending deadlines but then I'm looking forward to a well earned break with the boys.

It's the Daring Cardmakers final challenge of the year and this week it's all about tags, toppers and labels.  I have put my own twist on this one and used a tag on my card for a winter birthday.  I have so many winter birthdays to celebrate and I'm hoping this card will put a smile on the recipient's face.

I used the adorable Time for Tea Designs Skating By Penguins stamp set and I coloured the little peguin with my Chameleon pens.  I made a background using the tag from the Time for Tea Designs Zig Zag Frame & Tag Set.

The papers from the Time for Tea Designs Winter Wonderland pad give the card an extra winter feel!

You can see lots more inspiration from the rest of the Team HERE and I hope that you will join in one last time before the New Year.  It feels strange saying that!

Luxurious Warm Winter Wishes - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

It's Onesie day at school for my little one today - he can go to school in his nightwear for a donation to charity.  Apparently he will be watching a Christmas film this afternoon with cookies and a drink - alright for some!!!

Time for Tea Designs has it's final release of the year today and it is available in the shop.  Among the new products is the Winter Wishes Stamp set which I have decided to showcase today.

It's such a pretty set with lots of additional stamps along with the main wreath and sentiments.  It could easily be adapted for use throughout the year.

I decided to heat emboss the wreath with gold embossing powder as it shows up so well on the black and gives it a warm luxurious look.

I used my Chameleon pencils to colour in the images and I'm pleased with the overall look.   As ever you can get 10% off anything in store including the new release using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

Animal Antics - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

We have a week left before the boys break up from school.  My eldest will not be going in after today as the Covid cases have risen so much at his school so thankfully he will be taught online.  I just wish the school had taken the decision to do this when the numbers began to rise.

This week the Daring Cardmakers are sharing animal antics towards their Countdown to Christmas.  I happened to have a penguin already coloured in with my Chameleon pens so after fussy cutting him out I thought about a background and it was the antlers that made me think of the woods!

The winter wonderland background came together so easily using the stunning papers from the First Edition North Star Paper Pad.  The hardest part was choosing which ones to use!

I used a stitched edger die for the snow and a beautiful oval die set to frame the scene, both from Time for Tea Designs.

You can see lots more inspiration from my fellow DT members HERE and I hope you'll join in.

Have a lovely weekend and see you next week,

New Year Reindeer

Happy Wednesday!

Mid week already and it's been a great week so far as I have done a little celebrating for my birthday.  In keeping with the celebrations I thought I'd share a fancy fold card for the New Year today.

The Time for Tea Designs New Year Critters stamp set has some really cute images and I opted to use the reindeer as they went with the birch background papers from the Winter Wonderland paper pad.

My images were stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens and I added a little bakers twine to the balloon and attached it to the reindeer's antler for a little fun.  The 'Let It Snow' took centre stage and I die cut it in glitter card as you know I love a little sparkle!

December Elemental Challenge (Countdown to Christmas) - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

I'm so glad this week is coming to an end.  It's been a tough one with injuries and worries galore.  I've still got to deal with one injured little man who may need an x-ray.......

As it's the first Friday of the month it's the elemental challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers.  This time I took inspiration from the First Edition Almost Christmas Paper pad.  I cut a piece from one of the papers to make my focal point and ended up making this fancy fold easel card!

I like plaid papers for Christmas/Winter cards as they seem to have the warmth associated with Christmas.  I've added a sentiment and a little additional paper from the Winter Sparkle collection as it ties in well.

Below you will see the image from which you need to choose at least 3 elements.  Lots of choice this week and I picked the squares, colours, stars, tree and foliage.  You can see lots more inspiration from the Design Team HERE.

Merry Christmouse Snow Globe Card

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are keeping safe and warm.  If you happened to tune into Create & Craft yesterday you may have seen this card on display on the Time for Tea Designs Show.  It's made using the newly released Carolling Critters stamp set.

The background was made using distress oxide inks blended and then I added water to give the effect of snow.  All my images were stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens.

I decided to make the scene into a cute snow globe by adding a cut out sentiment to a frame made from die cut circles.

Christmas Mini Gift Box - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

With the change in weather there are so many viruses going around at the moment and my eldest has caught a cold.  His eyes and nose are streaming continuously so I have kept him off school today and hope some rest over the weekend will help his recovery.

The Christmas Countdown is going well with the Daring Caring Cardmakers sharing Christmas bags and boxes this week.  I thought I'd take the opportunity to use a mixture of products I received from the latest Trimcraft ranges - Winter Sparkle and North Star.

I made a pretty little gift box that can fit tea bags in it and I made a belly band to go around it to keep it closed.  Embellishing the box was my favourite part and I used decoupage from the Winter Sparkle pad together with a tag, bow, gems and a sentiment.

You can see lots more inspirational bags and boxes from the rest of the Design Team HERE.  I hope that you will join in as I'd love to see your creations.

Catmas Crackers

Happy Wednesday!

Mid week already and I've been appreciating the ever changing colours of the season this week while walking and on the school run.

I've come up with a great idea for the Time for Tea Designs Mini Gift Box Die by using it to make crackers!  I have a full step by step photo tutorial on their blog HERE if you're interested.

Of course it made sense to use the Catmas Crackers Stamp & Die set again to decorate it as the sentiment and images were just perfect.  All coloured with my Chameleon pens.

I used a sheet from the Winter Wonderland Paper Pad to cover the core of the cracker and added ribbon to finish.  As ever, you can get 10% off anything in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

All Dressed Up - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

Am I glad it's Friday!!!  It's been a manic week and I'm very much looking forward to the weekend.  It was very nippy this morning and this week's Daring Cardmakers challenge fits the bill perfectly with an 'All Dressed Up' theme.

I think my image and sentiment work perfectly don't you?  The stamp set is a pre preloved one I bought recently from Neat & Tangled.  I made the background blending distress oxides through a stencil and spattering with water very gently to create the snow effect.

The images were stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens and then fussy cut.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white on red card.

You can see lots more inspiration for the challenge by my fellow DT members HERE and I hope you'll join in!

Catmas Crackers - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

I am sharing a cracker of a card today - ha!!!!  It's using products from the new Time for Tea Designs release and I had a lot of fun creating it!

I decided to make a shaker card as in my head I could see lots of sparkles coming out of the cracker when the cats pulled it.  The frame is also cut out of glitter card as you can never have too much sparkle on a Christmas card can you?!

My images were stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens and then die cut with the co-ordinating dies.  The background is made up of a sheet from the new Winter Wonderland paper pad.

As ever, you can get 10% off all these products and anything else in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.  There are a lot of deals on bundles from the new release.

Gorgeous Gifts - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

It's almost 10am and it's become so dark all of a sudden and now it's raining.  Not a great start to the day.  No doubt my little one will come back very muddy as he has football today!

In keeping with the Countdown to Christmas, the Daring Cardmakers would like to see gorgeous gifts on your creations today.  I just happened to have the perfect stamp set for the challenge as not only does it contain lots of gifts but the sentiment is on point too!

I had fun colouring in this image using my Chameleon pens to blend similar colours for the presents.  The stamped image was longer but I opted to cut it down with one of my new A6 nesting dies and I think it's worked well.

I stamped and heat embossed all the sentiments in white on black cardstock so they pop on the card.

You can see lots more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team HERE and I hope you'll join in with the challenge!

Let It Snow! - Time for Tea DT

Happy Wednesday!

I'm very excited to be showcasing some of the new products from Time for Tea Designs which will be available for purchase from 9am on Friday!

These products are sure to help you make some fabulous winter and/or Christmas themed cards.  For my card today I used the Skating by Penguins stamp set which has adorable images that I coloured with my Chameleon pens and cut out then adhered to the bottom of my card among the Let It Snow Die Set.  I can't stop using that die set as it is a great size in a beautiful font.

The second stamp set I used is the Winter Background set which has 3 different scenic images on it. I have combined all 3 on my card to form a winter scene and used the combined dies to cut them out.  They have been adhered to my card with foam tape giving dimension.

I hope you will keep a look out for more sneak peeks and don't forget you will be able to get 10% off anything in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

November Elemental Challenge - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

I'm excited as the Daring Cardmakers have begun their countdown to Christmas so all the challenges up until the 18th of December will be festive and they will definitely help me get a move on with my Christmas cards!

As it is the first Friday of the month it is an elemental challenge and I have chosen to use a beautiful paper pad that I have difficulty cutting into as it is just sooooo pretty.  It was actually a gift from a friend so extra special!

I wanted the paper to be the star of the card so I added some die cut elements to it and heat embossed part of the sentiment.  I cut a circular frame and the sentiment to it together with some foliage.

The paper is already foiled in places so I simply added some Nuvo Glitter drops to the foliage.

This is the image from which you have to choose at least 3 elements - colours count as 1.  I chose the colours, the tree, snowflakes, silver circle and foliage.

You can see lots more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team HERE and I look forward to seeing your creations.

I hope you have a lovely weekend and see you next week!

You Warm My Heart - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

All set for the next lock down?  I had to go and return some school uniform on Monday and the queues to get into the small shopping area near us was awful!

Today I'm sharing a favourite card of mine using the Time for Tea Designs Life's Ups & Downs stamp and die set.  I love creating backgrounds and this one was a little outside my comfort zone but I was pushed by a supportive friend to give it a go and this is the result!  I am so pleased with how it turned out.  I used distress inks and gold spatters through an oval masking stencil.

The scene is such a warm and cosy one with the fire and the cute critters in their scarves and woolly hat!  All my images were stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens then die cut using the co-ordinating dies.

We had our first frost last night so the boys and I were all wrapped up this morning for the school run.  Winter is on it's way!

Yappy Christmas - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

Once the clocks go back and the days start getting shorter I feel a little pressure to get going with my Christmas cards.  Sadly, I am not one of those that is really organised and starts making Christmas cards in the Summer or does some throughout the year.

For my card today, I decided to create a black and white background, using the Candy Stripes die.  This was so I could make the focal image from the Santa Paws stamp set bright and colourful and have it pop against it.  I think I succeeded in my mission!

I used my Chameleon pencils this time, as they are double ended and it made this image very easy to colour.  I used the co-ordinating die set to cut the image and sentiment which were then adhered the to my card base.

As ever, you can get 10% off anything in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

Enjoy your week!

Spooktacular Creations - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

As promised I am back with another spooky creation as the Daring Cardmakers want to see all your Spooktacular creations this week.

I had fun with this one as the ghosts are just so cute and definitely too cute to spook!  Both the ghosts and the sentiment were die cut along with the frame.  The ghosts were die cut out of glitter card so they sparkle!

The background was created with distress oxides blended through a stencil then some paint spatters to finish.

I hope that you will join in with the challenge and you can find more information from the rest of the Design Team HERE.

Boo! - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

Mid week already - where does the time go?  I thought I'd better start sharing my Halloween cards this week as it'll be over before we know it!

Today's card is using the Spooktacular Stamp set from Time for Tea Designs.  It has some great elements on it and a co-ordinating die set too.  In fact the entire Halloween range is on offer as a bundle at the moment!

I used the Quilted Squares to die cut the squares and then I stamped different elements in each.  I added some stamped and coloured images using my Chameleon pens too.

For the fun element I punched a couple of circles and added googly eyes in one!  After all, Halloween wouldn't be complete without googly eyes!

Dictionary Day - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

There's an interesting challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers this week as it's Dictionary Day.  I had trouble deciding what to do and then I remembered a stamp set I have that has some really good definitions based on creativity.

The background is one I pulled off a gelli plate as I usually do a few at the same time and I kept it as it was just so pretty.  I added some random background stamping and some washi tape.

I stamped the images and didn't colour them in as I wanted the background to pop.  The focal wording was stamped on black card and heat embossed in white.  I just happened to show it to a friend and she bought it!  I wasn't expecting that at all but it made me very happy.

You can find more inspiration on the challenge from my fellow DT HERE.  I do hope you join in!

Life's Ups & Downs - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

It's almost half term and I'm ploughing ahead trying to get as much work done as I can so I can have a few days off with the boys.

My card today is one that was shown on Create & Craft TV by Jo yesterday and she even demonstrated the see saw going up and down!

I really enjoyed making this one as the interactive element on it was so well designed and all I had to do was add a brad to the see saw to make it move!

I made the background using the Sunny Side Up Again Stencil and Distress Oxide Ink Pads.  I then cut and coloured my images using my Chameleon pens.  I die cut the scalloped oval from the die set and stuck on a larger oval frame.  I wanted to keep the card simple so that the eye was drawn to the image and I think I succeeded.

The stamp set and its co-ordinating dies are available to buy from Create & Craft and everything else from Time for Tea Designs.  Don't forget you can get 10% off everything in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

Mail Art - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

It's been a very productive week with the addition of my first virtual parents evening.  Now in theory, this would be a good idea only the sound on my laptop decided not to work and a few sticky notes from the teacher later, I logged in again using my phone!!!

Over on the Daring Cardmakers, Svenja informs us that it is World Post Day and she would like to see anything related to mail art.  I have interpreted this challenge in a basic fashion and opted to use my bee stamps which includes one that is holding a letter.

I hadn't made a circular card in a while nor an eclipse so I decided to combine the two!  I made the background with my Beautiful Blender brushes, Distress Oxide inks and a stencil.

My bees were stamped, coloured with Chameleon pens and die cut then stuck around the card.

You can see lots more inspiration from my fellow Design Team members HERE and I hope you'll join in!
