March 2020 Elemental Challenge - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

I'm so relieved the week is over.  It's been a mix of good and bad but the thing that sticks out is my little one chipped his tooth at school.  I dread calls from school and when I heard about how another child had swung his bag and hit my little one in the face I was very concerned especially as it was his adult tooth.  After picking him up I learnt it was a metal keychain from the bag that had hit and chipped the tooth.  Thankfully the dentist checked it and there was no nerve damage so I was relieved.

Over on the Daring Cardmakers being the first Friday in the month it is the March Elemental Challenge and here is my take on it:

I used a brand new Time for Tea Designs background die which fits perfectly on an A6 card.  I used distress oxides to make the background going in with a lighter colour in the middle.

All the images were stamped, coloured with my chameleon pens and die cut then arranged in a die cut circle.  I added Nuvo Drops to finish.  I was surprised to find that the colour from the distress oxide inks bled into the drops when I looked this morning so thought I should point this out.  I've never had an issue combining distress inks and Nuvo Drops.

This is the image from which you need to choose at least 3 elements, colour counts as one.  I chose the colours, octopus and the circle from the O.

I hope that you'll join in with the Challenge as I love to see what you create.  You can see more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team HERE.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Shabneez
