Mother's Day Window Box Card

I've made a window box card for Mother's Day using Fiskars punches. It's on the Fiskarettes UK FB page today complete with a step by step tutorial. 

I used a heart punch for the leaves and the very pretty eglantine punch for the little flowers. I find punches are a great way to use up scraps of papers!

Papermania Geometric Neon Cards

I've made a couple of cards using the Papermania Geometric Neon papers. I love these papers as they're bright but not OTT and the gold foiling gives me my bling fix :)

The first card features a birthday girl and her sister. 

The girls' Mum sent me 2 photos so I used one on the back of the card together with the Fiskars intricate love punch and small lever punch for the hearts:

For my second use of the papers I opted for pink neon highlights and made a Mother's Day card. 

On both the cards I used the Papermania neon adhesive gems to embellish the cards.

Giant Lego Bricks

Happy Wednesday!

Well, it looks like the spotlight was taken away by my son in my last post - we were both very grateful for all your comments.

It's my youngest son's birthday today and I made him a giant Lego blocks card - it's an 8x8 card and I used a Fiskars medium circle. I then inked the circles to give more of a 3D illusion and used foam pads to adhere. 

It just so happened the card is on the Fiskarettes UK FB page on the same day - what a coincidence!

Needless to say the recipient was really pleased with it........

We're off on a birthday day out today so will catch up again tonight!

A Couple of Valentines........

My eldest son came home from school on Friday with the card below and I said I'd put it on my blog for all my friends to see - he was ecstatic!

Of course he gets his crafting genes from his Mummy.........!!!

Mobile Love

Happy Wednesday!

It's been wonderfully sunny for the past couple of days although very cold. The daffodils and crocuses are in full swing in the garden......

This is my first Design Team project for Fiskarettes UK and I really enjoyed making it. 

It's hard to keep certain people away from their mobiles and my husband is one of them! So I thought this card would be ideal!

I used the Fiskars intricate love punch for the focal point on the mobile screen. So far it's cut through everything I've used it on including glitter card. 

As an added focal and textural addition I used an eyelet on the button. I hadn't used an eyelet setter or eyelets before but it was really simple to use.

February Good News.......

Happy February Friends!

You'll never guess what?! Give up? I've been selected for the Fiskarettes UK Design Team on a 4 month term. It's still not sunk in! I'm both honoured and excited to be working with a great team of ladies and fabulous products. A huge thanks to Enfys for making it possible. 

So, I had a Valentines card to make and the Fiskars heart punch is one of my favourites at the moment. It's ideal for Valentines Day although I can see myself using it for many other occasions. 

I'm also drawn to gap cards at the moment. I just like how versatile they are so I combined the two together and came up with this:

Robot Party

The boys are back at school so I've finally managed to blog again! Both of them have been invited to a birthday party at an indoor play area this afternoon. They're so excited!

I've wrapped the present and made a card for the birthday boy yesterday. 

I used the DCWV 'Boys Will Be Boys' matt stack which I find is great for male cards and a chipboard robot from the Kaisercraft 'Technology' set. I've kept it simple but bright with the emphasis on the name and age. 

You never know, I might even blog again later while the boys are enjoying themselves..........!
