Flamingo! - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

It's been a wonderful week with blue skies and glorious sunshine.  We now have rain but the garden certainly needs it!  Just as well as the boys have been on half term and have enjoyed playing in the garden with their water guns.  One has been revising for his forthcoming exams as well.

The Daring Cardmakers have a wonderful summer themed elemental challenge this week and I got out my Dovecraft Finding Paradise Paper Pad again.  The co-ordinating elements make life so much easier!

I have a thing for circles.  You may have noticed.  I love using them and this card is no exception!  I thought it would be fun to have the flamingo say 'Yay' as it's on the washi tape and goes well with the celebratory theme of the card.

Here is some further information on the challenge together with the image from which I have chosen the colours, the flamingo and wording.  You can see lots more inspiration from the rest of the DT HERE.

I'm going to make the most of the remaining half term holiday before the finale of the summer terms begins!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Double Stencil Baby Card - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

Mid week already so can't be bad.  We've had notification the boys will definitely be returning to school on 8 March and they are both pleased - one more than the other as he will miss my lunches!

I'm sharing a baby card I made using a stamp and couple of stencils.  I really enjoy coming up with different ways to use or combine stencils.

I've used a die circle for the base and began by using my blender brushes and distress inks through the starry heart stencil.  I then masked the heart and used the scene it stencil to form the cloud background.

The little critter from the Occasional Critters Stamp set is just adorable isn't he?  I added some stars from the same set to make his little blanket even more cosy. In fact it reminds me of the baby blanket my youngest had.  Such wonderful memories!

The image was stamped then coloured with my Chameleon pens and I added a little glitter glue to the cloud to make it sparkle.

The blender brushes I used along with the very useful brush caddy are currently on offer at Time for Tea Designs and you can get an additional 10% off using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

See you again on Friday!

I Love Mew - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

I'm sharing more of a masculine card today as I know my husband would not appreciate a card with pink tones although he does wear pink shirts and ties....!

I'm using a stamp set from the January Time for Tea Designs new release along with a number of dies and a paper pad which I think worked really well fro the background.

My cats were coloured in with my Chameleon pens and fussy cut.  I thnk they are so cute with their tails entwined into a heart.

Hearts & Hugs - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

I've really felt the cold since it snowed on Sunday.  The snow only lasted a couple of hours but the boys made the most of it!!!

I'm sharing another card from the Time for Tea New Release using the Happy Mail Critters Stamp set.

It's a fun set with sentiments that will cheer anyone up at this time.  All my images were coloured using my Chameleon pens and fussy cut.  I die cut the hearts and their frames in different colours and added white heat embossing to the sentiments.

I found the perfect background paper using a Trimcraft First Edition pad I recently treated myself to.

As ever you can get 10% off anything in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10 to include the new release.

Happy Winter Birthday Card - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

I think it's quite novel to either send or receive a season specific birthday card.  I'm drawn to them and the Time for Tea Designs Winter Wishes Wreath stamp set has a number of sentiments perfect for the winter.

For my card I stamped and coloured the wreath with my Chameleon pens then die cut around it with a circle die.  I matted and layered the circle with a gold stitched die circle and a burgundy square stitched die.

I stamped the main sentiment in green to make it pop and added gold glitter drops to all the circles to finish.

You can get 10% off everything in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

Enjoy your week,

Mail Art - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

It's been a very productive week with the addition of my first virtual parents evening.  Now in theory, this would be a good idea only the sound on my laptop decided not to work and a few sticky notes from the teacher later, I logged in again using my phone!!!

Over on the Daring Cardmakers, Svenja informs us that it is World Post Day and she would like to see anything related to mail art.  I have interpreted this challenge in a basic fashion and opted to use my bee stamps which includes one that is holding a letter.

I hadn't made a circular card in a while nor an eclipse so I decided to combine the two!  I made the background with my Beautiful Blender brushes, Distress Oxide inks and a stencil.

My bees were stamped, coloured with Chameleon pens and die cut then stuck around the card.

You can see lots more inspiration from my fellow Design Team members HERE and I hope you'll join in!

Have a lovely weekend,
