Let's Hear It For The Bees! - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

It's been a whirlwind of a week and I haven't had time to do any crafting at all.  It's a good job I had prepared and made this card last weekend especially as it's my turn to host the challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers!  I have chosen the theme 'Let's Hear It For The Bees'.  

I used elements from the Zuzz & Friends Paper Craft Kit by Katy Sue Designs.  It's such an adorable kit and as I enjoy fussy cutting so much I cut out the images I wanted to use.

I created a hexagonal aperture in the middle of my card blank and used one of the honeycomb papers from the kit in the middle.

I think the little bee is just so adorable and to finish I simply added some pearl gems.  I love the warm colour tones don't you?

July Elemental Challenge - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

How's your week been?  I've started working on Christmas in July card samples which has been fun as it hasn't felt too much like summer.   My card for the Daring Cardmakers this week is very tropical though!  I've used the Crafter's Companion free 12 piece die set from the latest Papercrafter magazine for the tropical elements.

Lots of die cutting in various colours and materials this time and then I added a strip of card along the bottom to replicate water.

Below is Svenja's moodboard for the challenge.  You need to pick any 3 elements from it  - colours count as one:

Lucky For Some - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Happy Friday 13th!!!!

Phew! I cut it fine this week as I've had the most Mothers' Day card orders ever so have been super busy with those.

So tell me are you superstitious?  I'm not in the slightest!  The Daring Cardmakers are balancing unlucky Friday 13th with the luck of the Irish as it's St Patrick's Day on Tuesday.  I had to research this one and found out in my studies that bamboo is lucky in the Chinese culture.  Luckily (Ha!) I had the perfect stamp set to fit the challenge!

I used the Time for Tea Designs Pandemonium stamp and die set along with a couple of die sets.

I cut and coloured lots of bamboo and leaves with my Chameleon markers and as a background I used the Time for Tea Quilted Square Die set which makes for the perfect backdrop for the panda.

Pandas! March 2020 InstaHop - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Weekend!

I did warn you yesterday that I'd be back today showcasing a few of the new products that will be released tomorrow by Time for Tea Designs.  They are giving away £55 worth of new release products through an Instagram Hop which begins at midday (GMT) today (Saturday) until midday (GMT) tomorrow (Sunday) so hope you join in!

I've used a few of the new release products on my creation above and they are all listed in the products used at the end of my post.  I stamped, coloured and die cut my pandas together with their accessories - the present, party hat, bow tie and balloons.

The paper pad is 6"x 6" square and is double sided with lots of very useful basic colours and patterns.  I used some striped paper across my card and die cut stitched squares out of the heart paper.  The 'Yay' is cut from the new HOORAY die which also comes with an additional panel.
