Picture Perfect - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

After 6 months I have finally been reunited with my parents and so we have been spending quality time with them.  They are now a part of our bubble and it feels wonderful!

The Daring Cardmakers have a photo themed challenge and I used one of my most used die sets to create my card.

It's a simple card but I do think the mouse in the Polaroid frame with the 'Say Cheese' sentiment works perfectly for the challenge.

The background was created using distress oxides blended through a stencil and the images were coloured in using my Chameleon pens then die cut and added to the frames.

You can see lots more inspiration from my fellow DT HERE and I do hope you'll join in!

Have a wonderful weekend and see you again next week!

Dream of A Big Cheese Cake! - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

How's your week been so far?  Good I hope.  I've pottered around the garden with the boys as part of home school.  In fact my little one was tasked with taking photos of flowers for school and I'll pop his photo in at the end of my post for you to see!

I'm showcasing one of my favourite dies from the latest Time for Tea Designs release today called 'Dream Big'.  I absolutely love it as it can be used in so many ways with or without other sentiments!

I began by masking off a circle stencil and using distress inks through it .  I then placed the Say Cheese stencil over the top and inked through with a darker shade.  All the elements were stamped, coloured with my Chameleon pens and die cut.  The Dream Big die comes in 2 parts so I cut the main part in black then the outline in gold.

I think the best bit was adding a candle to the huge cheese cake that the mouse is holding which was from one of the other Time for Tea Design stamp sets.  The dies with this set are very clever and enable the mouse to hold whatever it wants.  I'm sure the mouse really enjoyed the cake don't you?!

As promised earlier, here's my little one's floral photo:

Enjoy the rest of your week and I hope to catch up with you again on Friday!

Squeeeak!!!! - Time for Tea Design DT

Happy Wednesday!

It's back to home schooling this week so a lot of juggling with time.  I'm always up early so it helps and I managed to get my ironing done first thing - do you think that counts as part of my daily exercise?!!!!

Today, I'm sharing one of my favourite cards made for the Time for Tea Designs April launch last week.  I've used the Say Cheese cover plate die to actually make the card base which was really quick and easy to do!

I stamped, coloured and die cut my mice images using my Chameleon pens and stuck them in so they were peeking out of the holes.  I love the sentiments on the set and made use of the "Squeeeeeeeak" which is just so cute!

I was in a rush to get my samples out for the Create & Craft Show but thankfully they photographed it and it shows the holes off perfectly!

I hope to see you again on Friday but no promises,
