A Very Elfy Creative Collection - Tonic Studios Launch

For the first of my cards I made I stepper card which shows off the various stamps in the set so well.  It's such a fun set.

For my next creation, I used the Cherished Moments Mason Jar Treat Bag as my base and decorated it with the stamps and dies.

For my final card, I used the stencils from the set together with a sentiment stamp.  Look out for the reel showing how to create this one!

Jolly Jingles Papercraft Collection - Tonic Studios Birthday Release

The week long Birthday celebrations from Tonic Studios are well under way and today is the turn of the Jolly Jingles Papercraft Collection comprising of 2 embossing folders, an 8x8 paper pad and a die set which makes a cute little gift bag very easily!

I really enjoyed creating with this collection.  The papers are beautiful - double sided with silver foiling on some sheets, a die set and 2 embossing folders.

The jumper die I used on my card can also be placed on the front of the gift bag but I wanted to show it off by using it with papers on the front of a card.

I used the die set to create the cute gift bag and added ribbon as a closure.  I added a sentiment from the paper pad on the front and the 'warmest wishes' die sentiment at the bottom along with the candy cane.

December Elemental - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy December!

It's the first Friday of the month so time for the elemental challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers.  Today I am sharing a Christmas card I made for a client to give to his wife.

I made a rocker card using a very old Kanban die set and this card is a good size - fits into a 7" square envelope.  The gnome elements are from the Christmas Gnomes Pop Up Card Kit by Katy Sue Designs.

This is the mood board from which you choose any 3 elements, colours count as 1.  I used the christmas tree, gnome and snowy background.  You can see more from the rest of the Design Team and join in HERE.

It's been freezing this week and I've had to scrape the frost off the car in the mornings again which I haven't missed at all!

Today I'm sharing a song themed card for the Daring Cardmakers latest Christmas challenge.

I used the Festive Furry Fun collection from Katy Sue Designs.  It has such a cute image of carol singers on it and I love all the gold foiling.  I added a bow to finish.

I'm playing catch up at the moment as this post was supposed to go out on Friday but I didn't manage it so here it is today!

The latest Daring Cardmakers Challenge has a sparkle theme to it and I did enjoy making this card very much.

I used the Glad Tidings Christmas collection from Tonic Studios with the addition of leaves and candy cane from one of their other collections that were on my desk.

Fancy some Christmas card inspiration?  Well, you're in for a treat as the Daring Cardmakers have a whole host of Christmas themed challenges leading up to Christmas.  This is the second one and has the word prompt BIRD so you can choose anything with a Christmas theme that has a bird.

I have chosen a pretty decoupage set from Katy Sue Designs.  Most Christmas themed pictures have robins so it was good to see a different bird for a change!

Festive Frames & Baubles Die Set - Tonic Studios Launch

I had fun creating with this set as you can make the most beautiful baubles so easily!  I used the dies from the set and added some of the papers from the A Candy Cane Christmas paper pad to decorate parts of my bauble. I love that you can add extra touches to the top and the bottom of the bauble too - it makes it look even more luxurious!

I also used the Die Set to create a Christmas card and it's one you could batch make as well.  I'd recommend a session of die cutting and inking then another to put them together.  As I had the A Candy Cane Christmas Collection out, I added one of the toppers from the set to the centre of my card.

I made the panels by die cutting one of the dies for the side of the bauble in white and then using my distress oxide inks and finger blenders I coloured the die cuts.  I stuck them onto a white base and used foam pads to give them a little dimension before sticking the topper to the middle.

A Candy Cane Christmas Collection - Tonic Studios

There is a lot in this collection: paper pads in both 8x8 and 12x12, stencils, stamps, dies, embossing folders, toppers and foil adhesive.

I'm sharing the projects I made with the collection.  To begin, I made a fancy fold card which makes good use of the double sided papers and I love the stamp set!

Next up, I made some candy cane holders.  I have made a reel showing how I made these.

I love making hone decor projects and the frame makes good use of the die set - the gingerbread people are too cute!

Finally, I batch made some small Christmas cards and a box to put them in,  I made good use of the embossing folders and stencils on these along with the foiled elements.

It's been a good week.   I got a lot done and treated myself to lunch with a friend yesterday which I haven't done for over a year.

The Daring Cardmakers are continuing their prompts and this week it is 'wood'.  I used the Dovecraft Little Red Robin Collection to make a card for my friend.

Just in case you couldn't see the wood I have another photo with the trees in the background and the robins perching on a branch so lots of wood!!!

Beautiful Bevelled Star Die Set - Tonic Studios Launch

Happy Wednesday!

The Tonic Studios Birthday launches will continue for another 2 days but today is my last product to share.  It is the Beautiful Bevelled Star Die Set and I had a lot of fun with this set.  My affiliate links which cost you nothing are here:

The Set contains all the dies you need to make the star shaped box which can have a flat or 3D lid.  You can see above I made one with a flat lid and used the 3D elements to create a removable decoration on a card.

I used a striped background for my card to make the star pop on it.  It's such a pretty decoration and all you need is some string to thread through the hole and put on your tree or ribbon if you want to use it as a wall decoration.

I made sure the card looked pretty and had a sentiment once the decoration was removed too.  

You can see the box in more detail above.  I loved the foliage elements in the set and had fun decorating the box.

Christmas in July - Daring Cardmakers DT

Well the boys have both finished school now.  My youngest finished at Primary School and will join his brother at Secondary School in September.

The Daring Cardmakers is encouraging you to get ahead with your festive cardmaking by making and sharing your Christmas cards in July.

I love slimline cards and used a paper pad and decoupage to create this card.  I love mixing collections up.

Gift - Daring Cardmakers DT

It's been a very hectic week with work , celebrating my birthday and various Christmas themed activities for the boys.  

The Daring Cardmakers are still sharing their prompts which are coming in handy for Christmas but you can use whatever occasion that suits you.  This week is a gift theme and my creation has the gnomes holding lots of them!

The background is die cut snowflakes and I added gems to the centres then I added circles and die cut the gnomes image.  A simple card but I love the colours!

As we are nearing Christmas the Daring Cardmakers has decided to use prompts to help give your inspiration and this week's one is HOLLY.  I was SO pleased as I had the perfect products for this challenge!

The background is a cover plate die which I have die cut in 2 different colours and stuck down so both the colours show.

I needed a topper so made a Christmas pudding which is where my holly comes in - you know I love a bit of glitter!  I added sentiments to finish.

Cards With Attitude - Daring Cardmakers DT

Wow! I can't believe it's been over a month since I last blogged.  I think there has been so much going on that I had to prioritise harshly with what I needed to do.  

I had to join in with the challenge this week for the Daring Cardmakers set by Kathy, to share cards with different shapes.

I love rocker cards and as it's Christmas in July for a lot of the craft industry at the moment I thought I'd share one of the latest collections from the latest Kanban collection - Home for Christmas.  I think the flowers from the collection add a little more elegance to the card.

Baubles, Boxes & Bows - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

The boys have finished school and it's wonderful having them home.  I have my booster booked for next Wednesday so hopefully that'll go well.   

It's the last challenge of the year for the Daring Cardmakers and it's all about baubles, boxes and bows.  You can use one or all on your creations this week.  I've chosen to use baubles on my card.

I've made good use of this stamp and die set by Hunkydory.  I think it's especially thoughtful to receive a card celebrating a first Christmas don't you?  The set has other sentiments with it and I have used the baby's first Christmas too.

I used the Paper Addicts pad and cut out a house from one of the pages.  I added stamped baubles and little embellishments to finish it off.

Trim The Tree - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

I celebrated my birthday earlier in the week and had company as my little one was off school with a rather bad cold.  We ended up getting a takeaway as a treat and cake to finish!

The Daring Cardmakers are asking us to 'Trim the Tree' this week and I have a number of trees on my creation this week from the Dovecraft Winter Wonderland paper pad.

As well as the papers this collection has a pad of toppers and lots of additional bits so you don't have to think about what to use as it's all there for you.  I also used washi tape at the bottom, the blue one is also from the same collection.

December Elemental Challenge - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy December!

My first post of the month is a festive one - well it is December!  It's a big card as well, an 8x8" square for the Daring Cardmakers December Elemental Challenge.

I've used papers from the new First Edition Arctic Wonder pad.  I cut one into a frame and added the tree scene behind it.  

I added glitter die cut baubles, bows and a sentiment to finish.

Show Us Your Stockings - Daring Cardmakers DT

Where has the week gone?!  It's been a good one although getting a little hectic and with the run down to the Christmas holidays I know it'll just get even madder trying to fit it all in before a well earned break.

The Daring Cardmakers challenges are still helping me out where Christmas cards are concerned and this week they want us to show those stockings!!!!

I loved making this card using the newly released Paper Addicts Festive Luxe Paper Pad from Craftlabel.  It's a great inexpensive paper pad as it even has sentiments that I cut out and used on my card.  I added a die cut frame and some wooden stockings to finish.  I'm going to make some more of these.

I added depth to the card using foam pads to the frame and sentiment.
