Be Happy! - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

Feels like ages since I last posted but I don't think it's been that long really!  Autumn is definitely here as it is chillier in the mornings when we leave for school and it's dark!

I'm up on the Daring Cardmakers this week (and next!) and I decided we all need to be happy so that's my theme - share a card with 'happy' on it!

I happened to pick 'Happy Holidays' as I like holidays!  The stamp and die set is an old one from Tonic Studios which I bought recently in their sale and I used my watercolour pencils with a waterbrush to colour in the stamped and die cut Christmas roses.

The stamp set has some fabulous background stamps and I used one with distress ink to form some more interest in my frame.

Comfort & Hope - Daring Cardmakers DT

It's Friday!

As we near the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, the Daring Cardmakers felt you can't help but think of sympathy or loss, so this week they'd like to see cards that give comfort and hope to people going through a loss or simply having a hard time. 

I really like the wording on this card as it shows you care for so many different occasions.  The stamp and die set is one I bought from the Tonic Vault Sale and is called Sunshine & Sunflowers.  It's a beautiful set which I hope to get a lot of use from.

I stamped the image in black versafine ink and then used the Tonic Nuvo Watercolour Pencils which really are a joy to work with on the Tonic Studios Watercolour Card with a waterbrush.  I die cut the elements and stuck them on an oval piece of card then added the sentiment from the same stamp set.  To finish I stuck it on to black card.
