February Elemental Challenge - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy February!

The first Friday of the month can only mean one thing - the elemental challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers.

I'm still in Valentine's mode so I decided to make a love themed card.

I used the First Edition Oh So Sweet paper pad for my backing, cut out some hearts and added die cut doughnuts and wording.

This is the moodboard from which you need to choose 3 elements, colours count as one.  I used the doughnuts, colours, hearts and flowers.  You can join in and see lots more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team HERE.

I made a couple of Valentine's Day cards using the Tonic Studios Cutesy Heart Patchwork Die Set.  I also used the very useful With Love Tag & Stamp Die Set for the sentiments.  My affiliate links are here, with thanks:

The first card I made was a shaker and I covered the back of the die cut with acetate before adding sequins to it and covering it with blue card.  This then became my topper.  I stamped Happy Valentine's Day across the top and bottom.

For my second card I stamped the background then added the leftover hearts from the previous card.  I added the largest die cut to the centre of my card and die cut Be My Valentine.

Bunny Love - Time for Tea Designs DT

Well the snow was certainly keeping the boys occupied as they were out straight after lunch and school daily!  They've built such an adorable family of snowmen.  It's melting fast this morning though.

As Valentine's Day is approaching I thought I'd share a little love themed inspiration using a combination of sets from Time for Tea Designs.

I think the bunnies are just adorable and with their scarves they are perfect for the current weather conditions too.  They were coloured using my Chameleon pens and fussy cut.

The background was made blending distress oxide inks then covered using a die cut cover plate die from white card.

Monochrome Valentine's Card - Bubbly Funk DT

I was going to post this in the morning but life got in the way, then I thought I'd post tomorrow but I'm off to Creativeworld in Germany for the day so I've decided to publish this post now as I leave at 4.30am in the morning - the sacrifices you have to make for your passion in life!

On to the task in hand, every year I have to make a number of male Valentine's cards and I spend longer thinking about them then the ones for females.  I decided to go monochrome this year and began with picking on the ceramic looking key hole.

Obviously I had to have a heart in it because what is life without hearts right?! I used a chipboard one from the box which I coloured with ink and then I printed out the wording I wanted and backed on to black glitter card.

For the background I used a favourite stamp set of mine and I added an item from a preloved Lawn Fawn stamp set together with a stamped sentiment.
