CrafTangles Mermaid Kisses Centre Stepper Card

Happy Thursday!

I'm up on the CrafTangles Blog today using the fabulous Mermaid Kisses stamp set.

I had a lot of fun creating this card using a centre stepper as my base.  This style of card worked well with the 3D scene I wanted to create.

All the images were coloured in and then fussy cut before being assembled on the card.

I stamped bubbles from the set and heat embossed with white embossing powder to give it a kind of foamy effect.  I also added stitched borders to give the effect of waves.

I'll be back tomorrow so not long to wait - ha!

Have a good day,
Shabneez

Those Cute CrafTangles Crabs!

Happy Sunday!

It's all about the crabs today over on the CrafTanlges blog HERE.  I've got a blog post showcasing those cute crab stamp sets which are perfect for the weather we've been having this Bank Holiday!  There's a mini tutorial too, more details further down my post.

The sentiments with the sets are all quite amusing and go so well with the crab images.  The crabs have great expressions on their faces - they certainly make me smile!

For my first card I used a film strip die cut as I associated the 'snappy' sentiment not only with the crab but taking photos.

For my second card I used a really versatile stencil set to create the distress ink beach background.  I made a funny scene with one of the crabs being hoisted by the balloon.

For my final card, I've done a tutorial to show how easy it is to make these circle easel cards.  They're fun!

I've kept the designs quite simple so that the crabs stand out.  I've used my zigs to colour in all the images and added a Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.

We're hoping to spend a day at the seaside tomorrow as the weather is supposed to hold out and I'm really looking forward to as I find the sea so calming, I could sit and watch it all day!

Have a great week,
Shabneez

It's All About The CrafTangles Sentiments

Happy Monday!

I'm up on the CrafTangles blog today with a selection of projects using the new CrafTangles stamps sets, concentrating on the use of sentiments.

For my first card, I water coloured the sunflower stamped image and added the sentiment as an extension of the stalk.  I kept it quite simple but doubled up on the sunflower head to give it a 3D look.

I used the same stamp set for my second project but with kraft card, coloured with pencils and added liquid pearls in the centre.  The sentiment was attached on the side.

For my final project, I used another new stamp set.  This time I made a tag with a liquid pearl background using a stencil and added the sentiment as a tag on the rose.

You can find further details on my projects using CrafTangles sentiments HERE on the CrafTangles blog.

All being well, I hope to see you again on Friday.

Have a great week!

Using CrafTangles Sequins on Cards

Happy Thursday!

I'm on the CrafTangles blog today with a couple of cards using their extensive range of sequins.  You'll find more detailed information on my makes over on their blog HERE,

For my first card, I used a new really cute CrafTangles stamp set and hearts stencil.  The sequins formed the puddles being as they were the right colour!

For my second card, I made a spin on a classic gap card by filling the gap with sequins.  I actually had one of my sons helping to die cut the circles for me and I did say I would give him a mention on my blog post, it's cheaper than paying him - haha!

I'd better get cracking as I've got another blog post to prepare for tomorrow, no child labour involved this time!

CrafTangles Super Boy Card and Gift In One

Happy Thursday!

I'm blogging for CrafTangles today using their Super Boys Stamp and Die set.  I decided to make a card with a keepsake.  Both my boys love reading, the eldest often has more than one book on the go at a time!  So, I thought I'd make a bookmark that would slot into the card.

This is the card I made and I have a brief tutorial HERE if you're interested in seeing how I made it.

This is the bookmark that slots into the card:

I really enjoyed making this - the dies made cutting out the images so quick and easy.  I'm going to make a batch over the summer holidays as I'm sure they'll be well received on birthdays.  In fact, I might even get the boys to join me and colour in the images!

Happy Crafting!

Baby Girl Makes for CrafTangles DT

Happy Tuesday!

We've had a wonderful time celebrating Eid with family.  I'm back at work, fully caffeinated, as we had a rather large detour on the way back home last night due to junction closures on the M1.  We didn't get home until the early hours of this morning but it was worth it!

Today, I'd like to share a couple of projects I made for the CrafTangles DT.

The first is a shaker easel card made using the CrafTangles Baby Girl paper pad and not a lot else!  I love cutting out of paper pads and I fussy cut the sentiment banner and the image in the shaker topper from the pad.

I made the little stoppers from another of the papers and added glossy accents to give them an enamel look and strengthen them,

For my second make I decided on a rocker card, again showcasing the papers and using them to make a scallop topper.

I added a floating sentiment backed with acetate together with paper roses, pearls and hearts to embellish.

I loved making these, just need some babies to give them to now!  There's more details of how I made these on the CrafTangles blog HERE.

I hope to see you again on Friday!
