Birthday Beavers - Time for Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

Today is the my final blog post for Time for Tea Designs as my term is up.  I've had a lot of fun on the Design Team and enjoyed showcasing my creations using the products both on social media and Create & Craft.

My final card is one I have made for my eldest son who will turn 13 in a couple of days.  I've used my favourite Dream Big die as it's such a great sentiment.

I created a fun scene of the beavers by the river bank overlooking the mountains and used my Chameleon pens to colour in the images.   Final chance to get 10% off anything in store with my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

Hopefully my son will like his card.  He wants to revamp his bedroom as a present so I've said once we are able we will go to IKEA for some inspiration.

Enjoy the sunshine and see you on Friday!

I Can Bearly Wait To See You - Time For Tea Designs DT

Happy Wednesday!

I administered my first home COVID test yesterday for my eldest son.  He's had 3 in school since they went back and they taught him how to do it so it wasn't too bad.  We have to do 2 tests a week and register results with the NHS and the school.  I'm so pleased they have this in place.

I'm hoping things go to plan and we are allowed to see family soon.  In the meantime as I had loved ones on my mind I created this card.

I used dies to create the grass, rainbow and 'Hello' sentiment and added a cute bear which I coloured with my Chameleon pens.

The sentiment at the bottom is from the same bear stamp set and I heat embossed it in white on black card.  I think it's a cheerful card, don't you?

Hope the rest of your week goes well and I'll see you on Friday,

Fairy Garden - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

The weather certainly showed signs of Spring this week and I hope it continues.  It meant we enjoyed going walking and the sunshine always cheers me up.

This week's Daring Cardmakers Challenge has a fairy tale theme to it.  I associate fairies with fairy tales as they are make believe so I created a fairy garden.

I decided to make a rocker card and in my head the wreath die was like a floral arch in the garden.  All the images are coloured in using my Chameleon pens.

You can see lots more wonderful inspiration from the rest of the DT HERE and I hope you will join in.

Have a lovely weekend,

Animal Antics - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

We have a week left before the boys break up from school.  My eldest will not be going in after today as the Covid cases have risen so much at his school so thankfully he will be taught online.  I just wish the school had taken the decision to do this when the numbers began to rise.

This week the Daring Cardmakers are sharing animal antics towards their Countdown to Christmas.  I happened to have a penguin already coloured in with my Chameleon pens so after fussy cutting him out I thought about a background and it was the antlers that made me think of the woods!

The winter wonderland background came together so easily using the stunning papers from the First Edition North Star Paper Pad.  The hardest part was choosing which ones to use!

I used a stitched edger die for the snow and a beautiful oval die set to frame the scene, both from Time for Tea Designs.

You can see lots more inspiration from my fellow DT members HERE and I hope you'll join in.

Have a lovely weekend and see you next week,

Shabneez

Merry Christmouse Snow Globe Card

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are keeping safe and warm.  If you happened to tune into Create & Craft yesterday you may have seen this card on display on the Time for Tea Designs Show.  It's made using the newly released Carolling Critters stamp set.

The background was made using distress oxide inks blended and then I added water to give the effect of snow.  All my images were stamped and coloured using my Chameleon pens.

I decided to make the scene into a cute snow globe by adding a cut out sentiment to a frame made from die cut circles.

As ever you can get 10% off anything in store using my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

Hang In There!

Happy Wednesday!

Following on from the Prime Minister's speech last night it seems like at least another 6 months of restrictions are on the cards for the UK.  I personally don't think enough measures have been put in place and how they will enforce non compliance of the new rules is a mystery.

Anyhow, the wording on this card seemed very appropriate as I think hanging on is all we can do at the moment!   I've used the Up, Up & Away Stamp set as it's one I hadn't used and I had an idea to make a background for it using dies so I did!

I'm such a paper lover and in fact the paper pad I used for die cutting the sun and clouds are both from one I won a few months ago from Craft Consortium. It goes to show you have to be in it to win it where competitions are concerned.

I coloured in my images using my Chameleon pens together with colour tops which blend colours from any colour family together seamlessly.  I added a little glitter glue to the hot air balloon and some to the sunburst for a subtle touch of glimmer.

Don't forget you can get 10% off anything in the Time for Tea Designs store with my code T4TSHABNEEZ10.

This may be my only blog post of the week as I'm not sure I can manage one on  Friday but we'll see what happens!

Have a great week,
