Whoopsie Daisy - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy July!

I'm a little late this week as I've been out of town so had a lot to catch up on my return.  As it's the first Friday in July it is of course the elemental challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers.

I've used a new die and sentiment stamp on my creation.  I love the sentiment on this and it went so well with the image of the little hedgehog I thought.  My background was made using a couple of stencils and distress oxide inks.  I kind of got fed up with the normal background colours so went for something different.

The image was stamped and coloured in using my Chameleon pens.  I then used a die to cut out the frame and another die to cut out the sentiment strip.

I managed to get lots of gardening done last Friday evening and Saturday afternoon so I intend to catch up on some crafting this weekend after a new school uniform fitting.

September Elemental Challenge - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

September already!  I love autumn especially the colours and textures associated with it.  The Daring Cardmakers  Elemental Challenge for the month captures it really well!

I've been seeing so many inspirational autumnal backgrounds lately on social media and I decided to do create my own using a couple of distress ink colours on a coverplate die that I backed with rose gold glitter card to add subtle shimmer.

I used a favourite Time for Tea Designs stamp set and the images were coloured in with my Chameleon pens.  I added a happy birthday speech bubble to finish together with die cut branches.

This is the image chosen by Rizwana from which you have to pick 3 elements - colours count as one.  I chose the colours, leaves, tree and apple for mine.  You can see lots more inspiration HERE.

I've a busy weekend ahead and my work time has already been cut with the school runs.  I really didn't miss those at all and no doubt traffic will be even worse from next week as all the other schools will start.

Sending Hedgehugs! - Time for Tea Designs DT

How are you? I certainly know I need a hug with all that is currently going on in the world and I thought you might like one too!  My project for  today is using the adorable Woodland Critters Stamp Set and I've gone for a clean and simple card that's only 4" square!

I've used the Square Nesting Dies with the Rainbow Brights Paper Pad to create a frame for my stamped images.  I inked through the Square Grid masking stencil with my distress oxide ink and blender brush to create a warm background for my little hedgehog as I wanted to create a card suitable for Spring with the flowers and foliage slowly coming back to life.

My images were stamped and coloured with my Chameleon markers as usual and I added a touch of glitter glue to the dainty flowers.  I must admit I absolutely love the sentiment - don't you?  As ever 10% off anything you fancy in the Tie for Tea Designs Shop HERE using the code T4TSHABNEEZ10.
