Go Bananas! - Heffy Doodle Fan Hop 2021

Happy Monday!

A late post from me as I'm away and promised I wouldn't go on my laptop until the boys are in bed!  We're having a great time having visited a beautiful Japanese garden and managed to see Jungle Cruise at the cinema too.

I am taking part in a Heffy Doodle Fan Hop with a number of others on Instagram where you can win a number of prizes.  It finishes on 7 August and should you wish to check it out my instagram account can be found HERE.

I thought I would use one of my favourite Heffy Doodle stamp sets for my card - those monkeys are just so cheeky!  I used a die to cut out the apertures in the background and ink blended with distress oxide inks before adding some white paint.

The images were all coloured in with my Chameleon pens and I die cut tropical leaves and used my distress oxide inks to colour them in.

See you again on Friday!

Whoopsie Daisy - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy July!

I'm a little late this week as I've been out of town so had a lot to catch up on my return.  As it's the first Friday in July it is of course the elemental challenge over on the Daring Cardmakers.

I've used a new die and sentiment stamp on my creation.  I love the sentiment on this and it went so well with the image of the little hedgehog I thought.  My background was made using a couple of stencils and distress oxide inks.  I kind of got fed up with the normal background colours so went for something different.

The image was stamped and coloured in using my Chameleon pens.  I then used a die to cut out the frame and another die to cut out the sentiment strip.

You can see lots more inspiration from the DT HERE and below you'll find the mood board from which you need to use 3 elements or more.  I chose the circle, daisy and frame.  I hope you'll join in.

I managed to get lots of gardening done last Friday evening and Saturday afternoon so I intend to catch up on some crafting this weekend after a new school uniform fitting.

Have a great weekend,

Into The Garden - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

I hope you've all had a good week.  I never did get around to doing the garden last weekend so it's on the list for this week weather permitting!  Speaking of the garden, that's the theme for the Daring Cardmakers latest challenge.

I think as my mind was on jobs to do in the garden I went for an alternative spin as my gnomes are working hard in their garden.  I created this fun scene using dies and papers for the backgrounds.

The images were all coloured using my chameleon pens and fussy cut.  The sentiment really made me smile.

You can see more from the DT HERE and I do hope you join in.

Enjoy the weekend!

Oh Baby - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

My poor little one has a cold - a week after starting school!  Glad it's the weekend though so he can relax and get better soon.

The Daring Cardmakers latest challenge is a baby themed one and I actually had a commission earlier in the week for a baby card for new grandparents.  I hadn't made of of these before but it was good to use a number of products from my stash to create it.

I began by choosing my papers so I had a colour scheme to go with and I used the Trimcraft First Edition Hey Baby paper pad.  I then stamped and die cut the baby word and stamped and coloured in the cute image with my Chameleon pens.

I added a die cut cloud and some Nuvo drops to finish.  I hope the recipient likes it!

You can see lots more inspiration from the DT HERE and I hope that you will join in.

See you again next week!

Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs Blog Hop

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs Collaboration Blog Hop!

Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!

On to my card!  It was fun to be able to use the two brands together and I picked elements that worked together to make a fun jungle scene!

I decided to create a card for someone who had graduated or done well in their exams so what better way than to combine the Chimply The Best stamp set with the Dream Big die set.

As toucans are found in the jungle I added one to my scene along with the Amazonian Leaves which I spritzed with water after inking with distress oxides to give them a different look.

The monkeys work so well with the Dream Big die as you can entwine their tails through it and I love how the monkeys can hold items in their hands too!

PRIZES AND GIVEAWAY INFO
Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs will each be giving away a £25 to their respective stores.

Winners will be chosen randomly and announced on 28 July 2020 on both the Heffy Doodle and Time for Tea Designs blogs.

MAY Letters - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

I've had a full on craft week with a sprinkling of house work and lots of cooking!  I need to get into the garden and sort it out but so far haven't had the time.

For the Daring Cardmakers challenge this week, Kathy has chosen something different and wants us to choose elements beginning with the letters of the month of MAY.  I have chosen Moving for the M, Aqua for the A and Yellow for the Y.

I thought I'd get a little die cutting in this week so that's what I've done apart from the sentiment!  This card is going to wing it's way to a friend of mine who has recently moved and I made it with her in mind.

I'm demonstrating at The Range in Romford this Sunday from 11am if you're in the area it would be lovely to meet you!

I hope you have a great weekend,
Shabneez
