Spectacular Stackables - Tonic Studios Launch

Happy Thursday!

I'm sharing a new Create & Make launch from Tonic Studios of the Spectacular Stackables Die Set.  My affiliate links can be found here, with thanks:

I made a Father's Day gift set with mine as you can see above.

The actual stackables come apart easily and you can make them as tall or short as you like.  I went for an ombre effect with my colours going from light to dark in shades of blue and I added highlights in silver mirri card.

The card is a quick and simple one using the dies from the set with the addition of a stamped sentiment to finish.

See you again soon,

June Elemental - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday!

It's been a while since I joined in with the Daring Cardmakers and today is the June elemental challenge.  As Father's Day is coming up, I thought I'd make a card for it.

I used the Tonic Studios Marvellous Mosaic & Hexagons Die Set to create the base and the hexagonal cut outs.  It's such a versatile die set.  I used the Love To Craft High Tide paper pad for all the images.

I stamped the sentiment on another of the hexagons to finish.

From the image which you can see HERE, I used the colours, lighthouse and boat.  You can also see lots more inspiration from the rest of the DT and a link to join in!

See you again next week,

Father's Day Card - CrafTangles June Challenge Inspiration

Happy Wednesday!

I rarely schedule posts but I have on this occassion as I will be celebrating the festival of Eid with my family!  Eid is celebrated to mark the end of the month of fasting for Muslims.  We're very much looking forward to celebrating with family we don't see very often.

I'm up on the CrafTangles blog today with some inspiration for the June challenge which has an Anything Goes theme.

I love vibrant colours and the latest Simon Hurley inks were what I used for the coloured sentiments. I decided to combine them with CrafTangles stamps and liquid water colour for the spots on the dogs.

I have a step by step photo tutorial over on the CrafTangles blog HERE if you're interested in learning more.  I hope you'll join in too!

After many weeks of working weekends I have one off before my final Trimcraft demos in Stevenage on 16 June and Hemel Hempstead on 23 June.

See you again soon,

Secret Hideaway - Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Happy Friday!

How's your week been?  Half term is in full swing here although it's finishing off homework this morning while Mummy gets her blog post sorted - ha!!!  I'm trying to prepare for Eid which marks the end of the month of fasting as well but not had much luck so far......

Joanne has set the challenge for the Daring Cardmakers this week and she would like to see a card with a hidden element.  This could be an eclipse card, adding a pocket, using a flap etc.  You know this challenge got me thinking as I'd never made an eclipse card so I thought I'd take the opportunity to have a go!

I used my Create & Craft free May members's gift for the bulk of it as the Ocean Secrets papers pad has elements that can be used as toppers.

Here in the close up you can see how I used alphabet dies to cut out the letters and added extra dimension not by using foam pads but simply by die cutting extra layers of letters and layering them to give the subtle dimension required.

I'll definitely be making more of these cards now that I've seen how effective they are and I hope I've inspired you to have a go too!  You can see lots of different types of secreta hideaway cards made by the rest of the Design Team HERE.

My Trimcraft demos are continuing and I will be at The Range in Enfield this Sunday from 11am.

Have a wonderful weekend!
