Glamorous! - Daring Cardmakers DT

Happy Friday

Today's Daring Cardmakers Challenge made me smile as being glamorous has definitely been the last thing on my mind since lockdown.  I think I put make up on once and that was on Eid when I got dressed up too!  I think Asian outfits with their luxurious material and intricate beading make me feel glamorous as does a touch of make up so I opted for the latter on my card!

I used the Dovecraft Kiss & Makeup collection for the stamp set and papers and combined them with a new Time for Tea Designs stencil.  I stamped on water colour card and used my Zig Clean Color pens to colour in the images.  I just love the lipstick shades don't you?!

You can just about see the glimmer paste I added through the centre of the stencil after using the distress oxide inks - an added glamorous touch to the card!

If you fancy joining in here is the brief and you can see a lot more inspiration HERE.

I hope you have a lovely weekend - if it's dry I have gardening to do!

Mother's Day Cards using CrafTangles products

Happy Weekend!

I can't believe it's only a week to Mother's Day and I've not made my Mum a card yet!  I'd better get crafting hadn't I?!  Before I do, I wanted to share some Mother's Day cards I've made using some of the recent CrafTangles releases.

All the cards are made using the Hug Me stamp set containing 3 cute animals with banners that come with a variety of sentiments.  For my first card, I used the CrafTangles Vintage Rosette paper pad for the background and fussy cut some of the roses from it to add to my die cut wreath.

The rabbit was coloured in using my Zig Clean Color Brush markers.

Next up, I chose a bright background from the CrafTangles Sweet Love paper pad and this time I paper pieced the scarf on the cat to co-ordinate with the rest of the card.

I used a couple of grey shades of Zig markers to give the cat some stripes.  I added a very useful Mother's Day stamp from a previous CrafTangles release together with some die cuts to finish.

For my final card, I got my stencils out and used a brick one to create a wall, adding darker shading so it looked like a hole with the dog peeking out.

I added die cut lettering and a few hearts to finish.  I'm sure you'll agree it's such a cute stamp set and one I can see myself using a lot in the future.

I'm feeling a little sorry for myself this weekend as I have a cold, passed on by my lovely boys.  It's a good job I haven't had any commitments so I can stay at home.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Cards for Dad with CrafTangles

Happy Thursday!

A very rainy start to the day but I'm up on the CrafTangles blog HERE with a trio of cards perfect for Dads.  You could use these stamp sets for birthdays or Father's Day which is coming up soon in the UK.

These cards were all created using the Father related stamp sets brought out recently.  For my first card I added a touch of glitter with a little washi tape and alphabet lettering.

I do like the sentiment which has become quite popular over the years.  I used my Zig pens to colour the image, fussy cut it and adhered it to the pretty plaid papers.

For my next card after colouring in the image, I masked it and used my distress oxides to make a background.  I added sentiments and a little paper to set it off.

For my final card I used a stamp set that could actually be used for anyone providing the percentages apply of course!

I liked the quirky dictionary style of the word Dad in this stamp set.  I added stitched banner dies and backed with pretty plaid paper.

I hope to see you again tomorrow, I have a card ready but need to write my blog post!
